Hello, I’m Saima, the chef and founder of Saima's. Born to Afghani parents in Karachi, Pakistan, and later moving to the U.S. in 1998, my journey has been shaped by diverse cultures, a deep love for food, and a desire to turn challenges into opportunities.

Growing up, cooking was more than just a way to nourish— it was a way to heal. I’ve faced my share of trauma and abandonment, and food became a refuge, a source of comfort, and a way for me to connect with my roots. From a young age, I was always by my mother’s side in the kitchen, learning the techniques that would eventually shape my own cooking style. Watching people fall in love with her dishes, I knew that food was a language of its own, one that brought people together and created memories.

I grew up immersed in the restaurant business, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to the flavors of different cultures from around the world. This allowed me to perfect my craft, blending traditional Afghan flavors with the culinary influences of countries I’ve lived in, and ultimately creating unique, vibrant dishes that tell a story.

In 2019, I took a leap of faith and turned my passion for cooking into a business, founding my catering service in Portland, Maine. After years of sharing my flavors with the local community, I’m now proud to be based in Orlando, Florida, where I’m eager to introduce the rich, flavorful dishes I’ve perfected to a new audience. I offer private catering and chef services for special events, date nights, and intimate gatherings, delivering personalized dining experiences that highlight the love, care, and tradition that go into every dish.
